An extremely long list!

1. I just commented on the bitchy two-year-old post about NaNoWriMo at Wet Asphalt. And after reading around their extremely pretentious literary blog, I really fail to see how someone who seems to love books merely for the purpose of comparing them to Moby Dick and, perhaps, crushing the hopes and dreams of young artists, thinks they have any position to comment on someone else's endeavours. NaNoWriMo makes messy, lovely, often horrible prose, but it makes prose. Someone call me when Eric Rosenfield publishes anything worth reading.

2. I stayed home from school Monday and Tuesday in a fit of vomiting, and I lost four pounds in the process. Stomach flu for the win. Of course, now I have prolonged cold chills and can't hold books for extended periods of time, but I can type!

3. My mother ended up rushing Jordan to the emergency room this morning at about 5:30, because he woke up and apparently had all of the symptoms of a heart attack. Of course, he's 18, so it turned out only to be Bronchitis, but I was extremely freaked.

4. There's a vague chance that I'm going to be yearbook editor next year, if I drop a class next semester to work on the newly created school newspaper and let them train me. I think. My English teacher dragged me into a corner and told me a strange, hushed tale about it, but I'll have to catch the teacher in charge of the yearbook to find out what's actually happening. There's a good chance I would be a terrible editor, as my high school career is not necessarily synonymous with the majority of the school. They just want me for my grammar.

5. Jordan wrote me a recommendation for the Tennessee Governor's School of the Humanities (which is where I'll go to UT Martin for a month in the summer and hang out with crazy Humanities students like myself, and. . .you know, write essays. Experiment with sex and alcohol. All those things you do in college). It was the sweetest thing I've ever read, and it ended with: so in closing, I believe that Chelsea would be a fine addition to the upcoming GSH 2009 and that she is perhaps among the best this state has to offer in terms of humanities based curriculum. Virtual hugs for my brother, I think.

6. I want to see Milk. A lot. Because I've recently acquired a new love for Lucas Grabeel, and I've always been fond of Sean Penn. There's just that problem of finding someone to take me. I'm not sure how much more my mother will sit through after Brideshead Revisited.

7. My grandmother is trying to make me read Marley and Me. It's a heartwarming memoir about a dog, and I don't want to. Perhaps my conscience is not so fine-tuned that I can't just lie and read the Wikipedia entry.

8. Make me stop signing up to write for Secret Santas.

9. HOUSE WAS SO GOOD LAST NIGHT. Because. . .Wilson! And House! And if Foreman and Thirteen's couple name isn't Foreteen, I'll have to kill myself. :D

10. the new Librarian plotline is made of ridiculous, but Noah Wyle is lovely. He has an I ♥ Pi t-shirt and a thousand PHDs and, while he thinks a beautiful woman is attempting to seduce him, he is babbling on about the acoustics in monasteries. I love.

Evidently, I am too lazy to flock my entries. Which really says something.

1. Some people are idiotic. My average writing speed (when not challenging myself to write the whole damn thing in a day) is 2k words an hour. So that just means I have to do it every day for a month to both finish NaNo AND keep the quality where it would be anyways. And you know... it's fun.

7. My mom tried to get me to read that :/

9. FIREMEN STRIPPERS. House and Wilson need to shack up because they're already dating.
And ahahahaha Foreteen. That was what made me have to leave a comment XD

And congrats on 4 and 5 :)

Damn, that guy is a total bitch. I could feel my creative proclivities being crushed.

Oh god, I would like yearbook and newspaper, I really would, except yearbook is headed by SCARY CRABBY PERSON (my school is small enough that there are only, like, three people on yearbook). Also, our newspaper editors DON'T FUCKING EDIT. There are typos EVERYWHERE. They don't even read the entries, I think, just format them. The reporter wrote 'titters' instead of 'teeters' and NONE OF THE FOUR JUNIORS CAUGHT IT. I just quietly fume and keep praising Neil Gaiman in my book reviews.

My mum saw Milk, but I won't be able to see it until next yeeeear. My English teacher knows the author of "Marley and Me"! She's pretty cool, except she doesn't think Twilight is badly written/cheesy, so minus points.

...firemen strippers. I watched it online and it stopped where they said FIREMEN STRIPPERS. (I <3 Foreteen. Which is surprisingly because I normally don't care.

Librarian gives me Indiana Jones vibes, so I am inclined to distrust it. but if you think it's cool!
