MEME FUN.

THE FIRST TEN PEOPLE WHO COMMENT TO THIS POST get to request a drabble/short!fic from any fandom (from my list. . .and possibly provide some form of prompt?) In return, those ten people have to post this in their journals, regardless of their ability level.

Want to brave the waters of Barty/Regulus? It's a very rare pairing so I doubt you've been able to have much exposure to it so it could be a little daunting, but I love it so dearly and like nooooo oneee writes/draws for it so I am always trying to make the collection of stuff about them bigger. :D If it helps, they have a very Remus/Sirius-y dynamic for the most part. Reg being a bit Remusy and Barty being a bit Siriusy - only actually mad lmaoo. Think world's first emokid/Mad Hatter.

Can you give me, like, a brief history? I'll skim through Goblet of Fire this weekend to get some extra stuff. I think they'll be fun to write, though. I know I like Regulus, at least, and emo potential evildoers are rarely not fun.

Okay PREPARE YOURSELF, LOL I WILL GIVE YOU THE GIST. In my canon lolol...

Barty was born because Crouch Sr knew the importance of appealing to the family man aspect of politics. From like the moment of birth it was clear Barty was manic/depressive only always the manic, veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy rarely the depressive so he is for real mentally ill and Crouch Sr has to fight to make sure no one at the Ministry knows this.
When he was little he became too much to handle and they'd tried everything so they eventually admitted him to St Mungo's for shock therapy which basically scarred Barty for life. He hates doctors, he hates his father, he hates the Ministry - he loves his mom, who is very gentle but very sick alllll the time. She has a genetic syndrome where her immune system basically does not work like at all so she is in and out of St Mungos and always very frail and although she loves Barty and she was the only one who let him be himself, she just doesn't have the energy to deal with him a lot so she's very ascent and Barty wishes she wasn't. Barthy inherited her frailty but he thinks he's immortal, king of the world, and refuses to get any medical help or even admit when he is sick, which is lots.
Barty is extremely extroverted and loud and altogether mad for rlz (think Mad Hatter ehehe) but no one really wants to be close to him - except Regulus. They are both damaged boys for different reasons and both of them have a hard time connecting to people so they got really close in their first year and Regulus kind of used to think of Barty as a Sirius that would love him because Sirius was so troublesome in the family at that time and it only got worse. Barty is violent and psychotic and doesn't notice/understand his own emotions but he cares for Regulus more than anything and can be so so sweet to him. He always accuses Regulus of being too girly and not having any man points but really Regulus brings out the side of Barty that doctors thought he may never have because of his mental state - love. They both are unstable in their own ways but they are each other's rocks.

:D Thank you! Lol I could go on about Barty/Reg for eternity. I even have a crack AU RPG with zombie!Reg - say hi. It's crack but we deal with it veryyyyy realistically so it's like realistic reactions/emotions in a crack setting lmao. So much fun.
